01 Oct Renaissance champions small-and-medium businesses at Labour Party Conference
In Liverpool, at Labour Party Conference, to launch our Levelling the Playing Field report, we held a private roundtable with contributors to our research. We then followed this with an open panel discussion with the new Minister responsible for small and medium businesses, Blair McDougall, hosted by SME4Labour.
We’d like to thank the Minister, Sarah Edwards MP, Liz Hind and our report author Hugh Goulbourne for their contributions to a discussion which spanned energy costs, late payments, access the finance and dispute resolution.
We’ll be following up with the Minister to further promote the recommendations in our report – including our call for a Business, Innovation and Growth Unit at the heart of government to unleash the potential of smaller businesses to deliver the growth mission.
